Professional Networking Event in Edmonton 

Are you a newcomer? Are you an immigrant? Are you a student? Are you looking for opportunities to connect with working professions in Edmonton?

Centre for Research, Innovation and Development Action has good news for you!

 

CRIDA is organizing a professional networking event to support newcomers, immigrants, and students to connect with experts and leaders  from government, academia and non-profit sectors including health, engineering and business networks.

 

The objective of the session is to help the participants 

  • understand the job market, 

  • explore pathways to pursue your career and 

  • learn strategies to enter the workforce or move to a new career. 

During the event, participants will have the opportunity to directly interact with at least five to seven expert practitioners that match their interest. This networking event will serve as a primary point of contact between mentees and mentors. Participants are welcome to further their communication with practitioners in the future for professional guidance. We expect at least thirty top-notched professionals from Government and

Non-profit community-based organizations in varied industries who are passionate about answering the most pressing career questions and sharing their experiences.

 

As part of this networking event, enthusiastic participants will have opportunity to learn about the critical areas and competencies necessary for becoming a successful in career, such as industry-specific job search strategy, resume building, writing an effective cover letter, networking, creating an online portfolio, understanding the hiring process and strengthen interview skills.
